Teams
A team is how more than one person uses the same vploq. Everyone in a team can connect through the devices shared with it, each with their own account and their own app, and without you handing out any credentials.
There are two roles. The owner manages the team; everyone else is a member (shown as Guest in some places). There is no separate admin tier.
Inviting someone
Invite by email address. They receive a message with a link.
They do not need an account first. The link walks them through creating one, and a brand-new user signs up and joins in a single step. What the invitation link carries about how their address is handled is set out in the privacy policy it links to, because at that point they have no account and have agreed to nothing.
Invitations expire after 24 hours. If one lapses before it is accepted, send another.
Seats
A team plan includes a set number of seats. Each person takes one seat, the owner included, no matter how many devices they connect with.
When every seat is taken, the invite field is disabled and the app tells you: your team has no seats left. Free up a seat or upgrade your plan to invite more people. Removing a member frees their seat.
The member lifecycle
Removing someone is not all-or-nothing. You can pause access and keep the person on the team, or remove them outright.
- Stop Access pauses a member for 30 days but keeps them on the team; you can Restore Access within that window.
- Revoke & Delete removes them immediately, and this cannot be undone.
Either way, the next time that person tries to connect through one of the team's devices, the app tells them their access has been revoked. After the 30-day window a paused member can only be Permanently Removed.
Ownership
Every team has one owner. Make owner hands the team to another active member: you stay in the team as an ordinary member, and they gain the owner's powers. Only the new owner can hand it back.
This is also how you unblock deleting your account while you still own a team. An account cannot be deleted while it owns a team with other people in it, so transfer it first, or remove the others. See your data.
Leaving
Any member other than the owner can leave a team at any time. Leaving stops your access to that team's devices; it does nothing to devices you own yourself. The owner cannot leave, and has to transfer ownership first.
Switching teams
If you belong to more than one team, or have your own device as well as a shared one, switch between them from the device picker, the same place you choose which vploq to connect to. Each entry shows your role and the number of members, so it is clear whether you are the owner or a guest.
