# Teams

A team is how more than one person uses the same vploq. Everyone in a team can
connect through the devices shared with it, without you handing out any
credentials.

## Inviting someone

Invite by email address. They get a message with a link.

They do not need an account first — the link walks them through creating one.
The invitation is what carries the information about how their address is
handled, because at that point they have no account and have agreed to nothing.

Invitations expire. If one lapses before it is accepted, send another.

## Seats

A team plan includes a set number of seats. Each person you invite uses one
seat, regardless of how many devices they connect with.

## Removing someone

Remove a member and their access stops. Next time they try to connect through
one of the team's devices, the app tells them their access has been revoked.

## Ownership

Every team has one owner. The owner can invite, remove, and transfer the team
to somebody else.

**Transfer ownership** hands the team to another member. You stay in the team
as an ordinary member; they get the owner's powers. This is also how you unblock
deleting your account while you still own a team — an account cannot be deleted
while it owns a team, so either transfer it or delete the team first.

## Leaving

Any member other than the owner can leave a team at any time. Leaving stops
your access to the team's devices; it does nothing to your own.
